Francisco Sá Carneiro Airport ranks fourth in Europe for the quality of service provided. It is the only national airport infrastructure included in the list published in the study by the luggage storage company Bounce, which, for this purpose, analysed passenger volume, parking fees, and the shops and restaurants of the busiest European airports.

The study also examined AirHelp's ranking of the best European airports in terms of service quality. In this context, the list is led by Adolfo Suárez Madrid-Barajas Airport, with an AirHelp score of 8.25 out of 10.

In second place is Vienna International Airport, with a score of 7.79. The third position in the service quality list is Josep Tarradellas Barcelona El-Prat Airport, with an overall service score of 7.68.

Following closely is Francisco Sá Carneiro Airport, scoring 7.67 out of 10, surpassing airports such as Copenhagen (Denmark), Orly-Paris (France), Stockholm Arlanda (Sweden), Istanbul Sabiha Gokcen International (Turkey), and Alicante (Spain). The top 10 best European airport infrastructures in terms of service quality are rounded off with Oslo Airport (Norway).

Istanbul Airport was rated the best in terms of pre-flight experience, with an overall score of 9.57, followed by Copenhagen and Barcelona (Josep Tarradellas).
