Francisco Sá Carneiro Airport is among the best in Europe, according to the 2022 ranking by AirHelp, a company that defends the rights of air passengers. It is the national airport infrastructure with the best rating (7,67 points), ranking 54th worldwide, and 7th , in the European ranking, in this case led by Brajas airport, in Madrid.

The company announced the AirHelp Score 2022, an annual ranking that lists the best and worst airports in the world as well as airlines. Porto airport has a global score of 7,67 points out of 10, with special focus on punctuality, which received 7,10 points, but also for the consideration of customers, which received 8,52 points, while quality of the restaurants and stores area received 8,53 points.

According to the company that defends the rights of air passengers, “Francisco Sá Carneiro airport is in the 54th position and it is the fifth highest increase compared to 2019, mainly due to the better performance in punctuality. It can, also, be considered one of the best Europeans Airports, being in the top 10 of European airports”.

The ranking created by AirHelp pinpoints the Tokyo Haneda international airport as the best in the world, while Qatar Airways was considered the best Airline.

Remember that Porto airport had already been distinguished, this year, with several awards: "Best European Airport 2022" in its category, with 10-25 million passengers, by the Airport Council International (ACI), at the ASQ Awards of Airports Council International, twice as one of the best, between 5 and 15 million passengers per year, in the areas of costumer experience and in hygiene measures, and in the top 5 of the highest ranked in Europe, according to Holidu, the German search engine of vacation rentals, based on a massive pull of ratings and reviews from Google Maps.
