Porto Municipal Theatre of Porto, the pole of Campo Alegre, jointly with Medeia Filmes, revisit the filmography by Ingmar Bergman, featuring 14 among his most successful film, from 1st September to 9th September, with sessions at 6.30pm and at 9.30pm.

Ernst Ingmar Bergman, the Swedish director, writer and producer deemed as one of the "greatest artists of the Twentieth Century", produced and directed over sixty films and documentaries for cinema and television, which include films such as Sommarnattens leende (1955), The Seventh Seal (1957), Wild Strawberries (1957), Persona (1966), Viskningar och rop (1972), Scener ur ett äktenskap (1973) and Fanny and Alexander (1982).

Among the actors who worked with the director are Harriet and Bibi Andersson, Liv Ullmann, Gunnar Björnstrand, Erland Josephson, Ingrid Thulin and Max von Sydow.

Ingmar Bergman was also a source of inspiration for young directors, namely Martin Scorsese.
