Ferris wheel started rotating at Boavista in Porto

The scent of São João is in the air! People can now commute to Boavista area for entertainment. A Ferris wheel, sometimes called Great Wheel, is also part of the enjoyment.

For those brave enough to try out the amusement ride, the non-building structure is 40 metres high with a capacity for 144 people.

As in last editions of the São João festivities, merry-go-rounds and other fairgrounds attractions are set all over town during June.

Amusements parks can be found at Boavista, Alameda das Fontainhas, Campanhã, Lordelo do Ouro (Jardim do Cálem), Largo do Amor de Perdição (Cordoaria) and Foz (Av. D. Carlos I).

The countdown for the 23rd June, the big evening of São João, began May 25th. The entire city has been summoned to take part in one of the biggest street parties in Europe.

Five packed weeks of entertainment under the theme "A Feast for Everybody and for All".

Monday to Thursday: 2:00 pm. to 2:00 pm.

Fridays: 2 pm-01 in the morning

Saturdays, Sundays and holidays: 10 am-01 in the morning

June 23rd: 10:00 am. to 6:00 pm.
