Enjoy the weekend and explore another edition of Jardim da Água

This Saturday, the entertainment programme “Jardim da Água” returns, with proposals for the whole family, to Parque das Águas, where you can find rare plants, old fountains, ancient city fountains and the best of Urban art.

The Gardens Nova Sintra have unique characteristics and provide the city of Porto with a great animation event on a regular basis: the “Jardim de Água”, that sets up many recreational and cultural activities in Rua do Barão de Nova Sintra, in the eastern part of Porto, on a monthly basis.

This initiative, which once again includes the traditional market, perfectly aligned in Rua das Fontes, inside Parque das Águas, also features entertainment, workshops and several recreational and cultural activities for the whole family.

The programme runs from 10am to 5pm. The historian Joel Cleto hosts the guided tour included in the programme, and the visitors can also take the opportunity to participate in an initiation to Yoga, Aerial Yoga and Meditation.

No prior registration is required to participate. Enrolments are made on the day, close to the scheduled hour for each session, with the workshop facilitators and subject to availably. The guided tour has no limit of participants, and anyone present at the appointed time may participate.

The “Jardim da Água” has free entrance and parking is free in the Águas e Energia do Porto car park. The metro station of Heroísmo and Campanhã trainstation are only a couple of meters away and are a more environmentally friendly way to reach the Parque das Águas.
