S. João can be felt all over the city, but everything is concentrated on the night of the 23rd to the 24th. Two years after, the party is back to the city streets, with a program for everyone. It is therefore advisable to use public transports, for better mobility of people and vehicles. There will be some traffic constraints, including on the Luís I Bridge.

The execution of “Noite de S. João” will require some traffic restrictions, in the following streets and periods:

Casa da Música

Prohibit traffic, according to signs to be placed on the spot:

- Rua Ofélia Diogo da Costa, on the section between Avenida da Boavista and Rua dos Vanzeleres, from 3 pm on the 23rd until 6 am on the 24th;

- Rua de Cinco de Outubro, on the section between Praça de Mouzinho de Albuquerque and Rua de Domingos Sequeira, except STCP, from 9 pm on the 23rd until 6 am on the 24th;

- Rua dos Vanzeleres, on the section between Rua de Quinze de Novembro and Rua de Cinco de Outubro, from 9 pm on the 23rd until 6 am on the 24th;

- Rua Helena Sá Costa, from 9 pm on the 23rd until 6 am on the 24th.

Prohibit stopping and parking, according to signs to be placed on the spot:

- Rua de Quinze de Novembro, on the section between Avenida da Boavista and no. 70, from 8 am on the 23rd until 6 am on the 24th;

- Rua Ofélia Diogo da Costa, on the section between Avenida da Boavista and Rua dos Vanzeleres, from 3 pm on the 23rd until 6 am on the 24th ;

- Rua de Cinco de Outubro, on the section between Praça de Mouzinho de Albuquerque and Rua de Domingos Sequeira, from 3 pm on the 23rd until 6 am on the 24th ;

- Rua dos Vanzeleres, on the section between Rua de Quinze de Novembro and Rua de Cinco de Outubro, from 3 pm on the 23rd to 6 am on the 24th.

Cordoaria

Prohibit traffic, according to signs to be placed on the spot – from 3 to 6 am on the 24th:

- Campo dos Mártires da Pátria, South Street, on the section between Travessa de S. Bento and Rua de S. Filipe Nery;

Prohibit stopping and parking, according to signs to be placed on the spot – from 2 pm of the 23rd until 6 am of the 24th :

- Campo dos Mártires da Pátria, South Street, on the section between no. 170 and Rua de S. Filipe Nery;

- Campo dos Mártires da Pátria, South Street, on the section between no. 1 and Travessa de S. Bento;

Establish one way traffic, according to street signs to be placed on the spot:

- Rua de S. Bento da Vitória, south/north way – from 3 am until 6 am on the 24th ;

- Rua do Professor Vicente José de Carvalho, on the section between Rua do Carmo and Rua da Restauração, south/north way – from 8:30 pm on the 23rd until 6 am on the 24th;

Conduct traffic conditioning with lane narrowing:

- Rua da Restauração, south side, between Rua Doutor Alberto Aires Gouveia and Campos Mártires da Pátria – from 8:30 pm on the 23rd until 6 am on the 24th (relocation of bus stops / STCP support time).

Downtown

Prohibit traffic within the area delimited by the following streets, according to the signs to be placed on the spot – from 8 pm on the 23rd until 3 am on the 24th:

- Rua de D. Pedro V;
- Rua da Piedade;
- Praça da Galiza;
- Rua da Torrinha;
- Rua de Aníbal Cunha;
- Rua de Sacadura Cabral;
- Rua de Álvares Cabral;
- Praça da República;
- Rua de Gonçalo Cristóvão;
- Rua de Santa Catarina;
- Rua da Escola Normal;
- Rua de D. João IV;
- Rua de S. Vítor;
- Alameda Basílio Teles from Rua de D. Pedro V to Viaduto Cais das Pedras;
- Viaduto Cais das Pedras;
- Rua de Monchique;
- Rua Nova da Alfândega;
- Rua da Reboleira;
- Cais da Ribeira;
- Avenida Gustavo Eiffel;
- Avenida Paiva Couceiro.

- Except public transport on previously established routes.
- All traffic cuts will be ensured by the Police.
- If there are major traffic constraints in the surroundings of Ponte do Infante, the Police may cut it off.

Prohibit stopping and parking, according to sign to be placed on the spot:– from 2 pm on the 23rd until 6 am on the 24th:

- Avenida dos Aliados, on the section in front of no. 266 and in an extension of approximately 10 meters;
- Praça do General Humberto Delgado, West street;
- Rua do Dr. António Luís Gomes, West side of the street;
- Rua do Estevão, both sides, between Rua do Bonjardim and Praça da Trindade;
- Rua da Trindade, on the section between no. 23 and no. 75;
- Rua de Fernandes Tomás, on the section between Rua do Bonjardim and Rua da Trindade;
- Rua de Alferes Malheiro, both sides, on the section between Rua de Camões and Rua do Almada;
- Rua do Dr. Ricardo Jorge, on the section between Praça da Trindade and Rua do Almada;
- Rua dos Heróis e dos Mártires de Angola, on the section between no. 59 and no. 81;
- Rua de Camões, both sides, on the section between Rua de Alferes Malheiro and Rua de Gonçalo Cristóvão;
- Rua de Ramalho Ortigão, both sides, on the section between Avenida dos Aliados and Rua do Almada;
- Rua de Guilherme da Costa Carvalho, on the section between Rua de Rodrigues Sampaio and Rua do Bonjardim;
- Rua de Rodrigues Sampaio, on the section between Rua do Bonjardim and Rua de Guilherme da Costa Carvalho;
- Largo da Lapa, north side and both sides of the eastern street, to create a BUS corridor;
- Rua de Alexandre Herculano, on the section between Rua do Duque de Loulé and no. 221 (relocation of bus stops / STCP support time).

Conditioning on the Luís I Bridge

In addition to the traffic and parking restrictions mentioned in some areas of the city, the Luís I Bridge will also have some restrictions. So:

- Closing of pedestrian traffic on the lower deck of the Luís I Bridge, from 7:00 pm on the 23rd to 7:30 am on the 24th;
- Closing of pedestrian traffic on the upper deck of the Luís I Bridge, from 11 pm on the 23rd and until safety conditions are guaranteed for its reopening (it is estimated that it will be around 3 am on the 24th);

- Interdiction of Metro circulation on the upper deck of the Luís I Bridge, from 11:45 pm on the 23rd and until safety conditions are guaranteed for its reopening.

The alternative for pedestrian circulation between banks should be conducted through the Ponte do Infante

The Municipal Police will have vehicles circulating around the city with informative displays that will convey all this information.
