Great classical works such as the ones created by Brahms, Beethoven, Chopin, Handel and Tchaikovsky will be abundant at Coliseu Porto, in a concert that marks the autumn season, scheduled for 29 September at 9.30 pm.

This event is the result of a new cycle of joint programming by Coliseu Porto and Lisbon Metropolitan orchestra sponsored by Santa Casa da Misericórdia of Porto.

Coliseu Porto has been focused on own programming based on most assorted musical genres.

The 2017/2018 season has in store three important concerts: Autumn Concert, Christmas Concert and New Years' Concert.

The inaugural concert will feature Symphony n.1 by Johannes Brahms, "Egmont," opus 84, by Ludwig van Beethoven and the Concert for Piano and Orchestra No. 1 by Chopin.

The Christmas Concert, taking place 18 December, features The Messiah of George Friedrich Händel, with Argentine maestro Leonardo García Alarcón conducting the Portuguese Orchestra.

The traditional New Year's Eve Concert, 6 January presents us work by Johann Strauss II and some of the most beautiful classic melodies by Tchaikovsky and Antonín Dvo?ák.

The tickets for the three concerts are now available at Coliseu box office, at Blueticket and at the usual places.
