Over 70,000 people experienced the immersive “Spiritus” at the Clérigos Church. The initiative is back so as to offer “a multisensory, abstract, and immersive event of music, light, architecture, and poetry, inciting reflection on the role of Humans in the world, as well as a personal, exciting, and stunning experience of one of Invicta's greatest symbols”.

Inspired by the poem “The Best Way to Travel is to Feel”, by Álvaro de Campos, “Spiritus”, by the OCUBO studio and with the support of the Porto City Hall, was made from scratch for the interior of the Clérigos Church.

The show “transforms Nicolau Nasoni's Baroque architecture into a living element, bringing movement, emotion, and magic to every detail of the monument's interior, involving the public in a contemplative, multisensory, and fully immersive journey to its centre.”.

The aim is “to provide not only an unprecedented discovery of the Clérigos Church to those who visit it for the first time, but also its rediscovery by the actual inhabitants of the city.”.

Between March 31 and April 16, the immersive journey coincides with the “Clérigos By Night” initiative.
