“A girl and a boy, each one sharper than the other (he was doing somersaults and she was rolling over), as they only like to turn the world on its head, and if they were not running, they would be jumping” (free translation). This is the starting point of another children’s reading, at the Almeida Garrett Municipal Library (BMAG). This is the May edition of the “Sábados a Contar” initiative.

Once again, the target audience are children aged 3 and 6 and books are especially chosen to suit children’s taste.

The first session happens today, 15 May and the reading session will focus on the book “A família dos macacos”, by Luís Henrique and Rita Taborda. The session starts at 3.30 pm.

The following Saturday, there are another two sessions, at 11 am and at 3.30 pm, respectively. The book, by Ilan Brenman, is one of the most known and cherished children's literature authors. The book is themed “Ó Mãããeee!”

The month of readings concludes on 29 May, with a storey on equality, collaboration and family concept. Starting at 3.30 pm, the reading is on the book by Anthony Browne, “Piggybook”.

The children’s Reading Room at BMAG, the tale time is followed by the theme “Book of the Day”. This initiative is free, but prior registration is mandatory, as there is limited seat availability.
