Card Porto. offers free transport and discounts in the city from 13 - 18 years of age

People aged between 13 and 18 years old, who do not have the “Andante 13-18” transport ticket, can load an "Andante 3Z Porto." subscription, of the public transport Andante network, at no charge, and with added benefits of the Porto. card, such as discounts and perks in different equipment in the city. The loading of subscriptions runs from 1 July to 31 August.

Card holders will not only improve their daily experience in the city of Porto, but also establish a sense of belonging in the Invicta, from transports to museums, theatres to pools, the Porto. card will bring the city together. As of now, youth aged between 13 and 18 years old can enjoy all these perks in a single card, which the integration of the andante 13.18. in the "Card Porto.".

The "Andante 3Z Porto." is a free Andante subscription, offered by the Municipality of Porto, to young people with a tax residence in Porto and to students that show proof they are studying and residing in Porto, aged between 13 and 18 years old, which grants them the possibility to use public transports, namely Metro, STCP (BUS) or the Funicular of the Guindais, up to a limit of three adjacent zones.

Also listed as perks are the discounts in the Porto Municipal Theatre, the Water Pavilion, cultural events promoted by the City Hall and the municipal pools; access to the municipal library’s services, guided tours to the Council Chambers, just to mention a few.

The Andante 13-18 accession should be done at www.cartao.porto.pt, applying for the Andante 3Z Porto subscription. The card can be delivered at home or picked up at the Gabinete do Munícipe (Townsman Office), where accession request are also possible, upon prior scheduling. Both situations require a full-face photograph, a document that proves tax residence or residences in Porto or, for those who do not reside in the city, a document that proves enrolment in an education establishment in the city.

To start enjoying all these perks, the Andante card must be activated in a Loja Andante, where users will also be able to select the three adjacent zones. For Andante subscription renewal, card holders must go directly to the Loja Andante in Trindade, and present their former subscription card, as well as the citizen card. Subscription requests for youngsters aged between 13 and 15 years old must be submitted by the respective guardian.

The card is free of charge, but it is necessary to select the services one wishes to adhere. In the school year 2020/21 the Andante 13-18 benefited 4.715 young people.
