Bonfim is yet again reclaiming its top spot as one of the coolest districts ever, this time according to Time Out

This article is about Porto. For sure the sound of words such as Barcelona, Los Angeles, Hong Kong or even Shanghai might seem much more alluring, but make no mistake. Porto is the city that will make you feel at home.  

The Editors at Time Out Porto state that "experienced travellers want to see the city as locals do"; but what is the "cool" factor here? These estranged times feel like one needs to rediscover what we really want to do go or visit, and Time Out newsroom felt that "it" factor in Bonfim, Porto. This is the 14th coolest district according to the magazine, out of 40 other districts the world over.

Truth be said, Bonfim had already been shortlisted as one of the coolest neighbourhoods by The Guardian, in the beginning of 2020.

Every year, editors and journalists at Time Out, together with thousands of people all around the globe, try to identify the coolest districts to enjoy, eat, appreciate art and culture and especially the city's mood and personality, so to speak. Now, the coolest districts are the ones where people share, get comfortable and feel "at home".

And even if Esquerra de l'Eixample, in Barcelona, Downtown, Los Angeles and Sham Shui Po, in Hong Kong make it to the podium, Bonfim, in Porto makes a statement when it comes to authenticity in Porto. It stand 14th in the rank and invites to a strong community spirit, aligned with an artistic scene that updates everyone's views on art. This district is one to walk on, at the Invicta.
