Bolhão supplies the ingredients for the best pizzas in the world

The Palácio da Bolsa hosts, on Wednesday, the 16th, the second edition of World Stars Pizza & Port wine. The event brings some of the best pizzaiolos in the world to the city, who will show their work and harmonize it with Port wine.

Before the big event of World Stars Pizza & Port wine, on Wednesday the 16th, at Palácio da Bolsa, pizzaiolos will already be in the city to choose the best ingredients for their creations.

“It makes perfect sense that the best pizzas in the world are made with excellent products”, underlined the creator of World Stars Pizza & Port wine, Antonio Mezzero, pizza world champion and ambassador of Neapolitan pizza in Portugal. Thus, this Monday morning, the 14 pizzaiolos, present at the event, visited the Mercado do Bolhão to buy the products they will use in making pizzas for the competition.

The group of competitors includes Goran Abramovic (Serbia), Ali Chahrour (Sweden), Will Grant (USA), Takumi Tachikawa (Japan), Pablo Gil (Argentina), Eric Riem (France), Tobias Kühnle (Germany), Jaqueson Dichoff (Brazil), Giovanni Hernández (Colombia), Pedro Almeida (Portugal), Antonio Martos (Spain), Gianni Calaon (Italy), John Lanzafame (Australia), and Wilhelm Rodriguez (Puerto Rico).

On Wednesday, the 16th, Palácio da Bolsa hosts the second edition of World Stars Pizza & Port wine, where the pizzaiolos will harmonize their pizzas with wines from 14 of the Portuguese houses of Douro and Port Wines. The event has the support of Porto City Hall and Instituto dos Vinhos do Douro e do Porto.
