Best Of Wine Tourism 2022 applications are open

The applications for the Best Of Wine Tourism are open. Companies that develop enotourism activities in Porto and Douro and the "Vinhos Verdes" Wine Regions are now able to apply to such an award, even more relevant in a time when the tourism sector has been so hard hit by the pandemic. Applications should be submitted until 16 July 2021.
This competition is aimed at wineries and tour operators of the Douro, Porto and Vinhos Verdes region, which have a relevant role regarding the development of wine tourism in this region. Companies that showcase excellence in customer service and that strive for innovation regarding the following categories: accommodation, Wine Restaurants, Architecture and Landscape, Art and Culture, Innovative Experiences in Enotourism, Enotourism Services and Sustainable practices of Enotourism, are eligible for the Best Of Wine Tourism Award.
The awardee of the first competition enters the international competition, where a global winner will be selected, by an international jury, consisted by representatives of all member cities/regions of this network: Adelaide-South Australia; Bilbao-Rioja; Bordeaux; Cape Town-Cape Winelands; Lausanne; Mainz-Rheinhessen; Mendoza; Porto; S. Francisco-Napa Valley; Valparaíso-Casablanca Valley; and Verona.
There will be a new edition, once again, of the People's Choice Award so that the general public can choose their preferred candidate.
