It was supposed to take place in Barcelona or London, but the first European edition of Tomorrow Comes Today (TCT), an international music conference, will happen in Porto, instead.

Porto will be the world's music capital in October 2017, on the 12th and 13th, bringing together the World's top music thinkers to reflect on the past, discuss the present and imagine the future of the music industry.

For 2 days in October this year, the magical city of Porto will be the stage of the world's most influential bands, labels, managers, publishers, promoters, entrepreneurs, investors and brands that will interchange views, with a shared interest in assessing and gauging the state of the arts concerning the music industry, discussing the present and imagining the future.

The conference will rely on a different approach, consisting of eclectic panels, each featuring different stakeholders whose opinions are relevant for the subject being discussed.

Stakeholders represented on the panels will change depending on the subject but the artist will be a permanent speaker on the conference panels.

Tomorrow Comes Today official website will be launched on February 14th, first speakers, main sponsors and early bird prices will be announced on the same day.

Joao Afonso, Conference Director, comments: "At Tomorrow Comes Today we believe artists are the cornerstone of the music industry. They should be heard in every matter that concerns the art they create and the business that spawns out of it. By giving them and every other stakeholder involved a chance to share their views, we hope to contribute to a better future for this art form that is so essential to our lives."

This event will mobilize the entire city with concerts, showcases and exhibits (music, photography and film) happening throughout the city from the 12th to the 14th of October.

It's also an opportunity for delegates to discover one of the top tourist destinations in Europe right now. Porto is famous for its beautiful river landscapes, wine, food and culture. Its people are also known for being marvellous hosts.
