This initiative launched in 2008, and repeated every year since, provides an opportunity for postgraduates of Porto University to act as real researchers and publicly present their latest projects and research articles before an audience of colleagues and professors from several faculties of the Academy of Porto.

Over a period of three days, approximately 1310 students will take part in 37 sessions covering varied topics such as Environment, Architecture, Arts, Astronomy, Agri-Food Sciences, Biological Sciences, Education Sciences and Psychology, Health Sciences, Sports Science, Law and Criminology, Engineering, Cultural and Economic Studies, Cultural and Feminine Studies, Literary Studies, Physics, History, Mathematics and Chemistry.

This 2017 edition will feature about 230 oral presentations and 170 poster presentations, providing an opportunity for young researchers to showcase their talent and work in a congress-like environment, putting students in contact with the methodologies of knowledge creation and at the same time promoting future contacts with the participants in the program or their employers.

The Young Researchers Meeting 2017 will kick off  "D'après Abel Salazar" exhibition, produced by Fine Arts College students, scheduled for 10 am on February 8.
