WINDOWS from Prague to Porto

The installation Windows, by José Capela, after representing Portugal at the 2019 Prague Quadrennial, is now on display in Porto between September 12 and October 10, 2021, at mala voadora's room G.

Most of us spend the day looking at monitors and screens, in a situation curiously similar to that of the public looking at a traditional stage: in front of a window, outside the perceived reality. WINDOWS is an installation around the act of seeing and the mechanisms of representation that create and condition the act of seeing the stage – between the tradition initiated by the invention of perspective and the contemporary condition of images.

At Mala Voadora, in Porto, the installation WINDOWS is once again adapted to the specificity of a space, this time exploring the interaction with Rua do Almada.
