Porto Book Fair

Porto Book Fair is back. This 2021 edition takes place between 27 August and 12 September, with 78 participating entities and an artistic program that evokes Júlio Dinis, on the date that celebrates 150 years of his death. The motto is Herborizar (Botanize).

The unavoidable figure of romanticism in the city is addressed in the program designed by the guest curator Helena Carvalhão Buescu, Júlio Dinis — Passeios em Terras Românticas, which unfolds into two sessions on the afternoons of Saturday and Sunday (28th and 29th of August): Isabel Pires de Lima and Simão Valente focus on raising an ecological awareness; and João Barrento and Ana Luísa Amaral about translation issues.
