Exhibit themed “Found Tapes Porto, 2004-2019” trace back 15 years of memories

Tape cassettes that were found in the street are the memory keepers of audio memoirs of the city. These tapes date back 15 years and can be appreciated at the Gabinete do Tempo - Casa do Infante, on 5 September. Entrance is free.

Digital transformed audio cassettes into old time relics, making their content into some kind of artwork. For fifteen years, Pedro Augusto set himself to the task of collecting all the pieces of magnetic tape that he could find. The result is a 15-hour audio, of different sizes, which include tunes of different genres and times, game data and even language courses.

The exhibit “Found Tapes Porto, 2004-2019” is on display at the Gabinete do Tempo, at Casa do Infante, until 5 September. Entrance is free.
