The Hyundai Porto Half Marathon returns to the road on September 18, with two distances: the Half Marathon, with 21,097 kilometers, and the Mini Marathon with 5 kilometers, the latter for all ages. Enrollments are ongoing.

During the month of July, Clube de Vela Atlântico promotes the celebration of the 500th anniversary of the first circumnavigation voyage around the planet, led by Fernão de Magalhães, with a number of initiatives, bringing together the three municipalities of the Atlantic Front: Porto, Matosinhos and Vila Nova de Gaia .

This Summer there will be more options for sports activities and in more neighborhoods of the city. The third edition of the municipal program Desporto no Bairro, presented at the end of Tuesday afternoon, now features another modality – street basket, which joins breaking, surf and skate – and aims to reach more than 1000 children and young people.

The Praia Internacional will host competitions of different sports until August. As it has happened in recent years, the summer sports season in Porto is made with the feet on the sand. The Beach Stadium is already installed in its usual place, next to Edifício Transparente, ready to host this Friday and Saturday, 10 and 11 June, its first event: Beach Korfball Portugal Open.

Porto is getting ready to receive again, on May 21, the “Porto Special Stage”, a super special included in the 55th edition of Rally de Portugal.

The Porto Super Section Stage route will be the same as in previous editions, but with a new feature: the presence of the public.

The Skate Park, integrated in the Parque Desportivo de Ramalde, hosts international competitions between the 24th and the 27th of March

Porto City Hall has invested around 640 thousand euros in fitness equipment, to which were added 100 thousand more in the requalification and placement of 15 basketball hoops in sports venues for this purpose.

Inaugurated in 2019, the Ramalde Skate Park had a new intervention, with the aim of increasing its area and providing the space with new technical facilities for the practice of the sport. An investment of around 300 thousand euros, 140 thousand euros applied now, and other 150 thousand euros invested in the initial construction. The Mayor of Porto, Rui Moreira, visited the facilities this Saturday morning.
