Donations to the Mission Hospital Porto. of over 300 thousand euros to fight the new coronavirus

The fund raising campaign "Ligados por um Hospital" (Linked by a Hospital), which was launched on 10th April, with the support of RTP, exceeded 280 thousand euros donated by phone calls or bank transfers of over 40 thousand euros.

Porto City Hall delivered 30 ventilators to the city public Hospitals, with the support of the Jack Ma Foundation

The Jack Ma Foundation donated thirty non-invasive ventilators to Porto City Hall, to treat Covid-19 patients. Porto City Hall delivered 15 ventilators to the city's public hospitals. Those add to the 10 invasive ventilators already delivered to the ICU last week.

Ten ventilators offered to the city public hospitals by Porto City Hall

Porto City Hall purchased 10 invasive ventilators in Shenzhen and delivered them to the city hospitals, to treat severe covid-19 patients. The ventilators were bought in Shenzhen, to a state of the art hospital equipment company, through the channels established by the Municipality of Porto.

The existing contingency measures will be maintained in Porto till 17th April, by rule of the Mayor

The hospital's logistics is set, the current work regards the medical equipment in place so that the hospital can receive the first Covid-19 patients. The protective equipment, such as various types of masks, protection goggles and suits were offered by several companies, like the Fosun Foundation, Gestifute, La Perla and KMJ.
