Rua de José Falcão reopened to traffic circulation (UPDATED)

Rua de José Falcão, which had been blocked to traffic due to a water pipe breakage and pavement slide, caused by extreme weather conditions, reopened to traffic circulation, as the Águas do Porto team concluded the works. The traffic lane had collapsed overnight, this Thursday, and the Municipal Civil Protection, the Municipal Police and the Porto Firefighter Battalion were on site to attend to the situation.

BUS (STCP) and Metro adjust the offer of services for the end of the year

STCP bus fleet and Metro lines in Porto will adjust the offer of services on the last day of 2020 and the first day of 2021, in line with the measures in place, under the State of Emergency, and in accordance with the slump in demand. Thus, on 31st December, buses (STCP) will run following the Saturday schedule, and the first day of 2021, the early hours service will not take place, and as of 6am, the Sundays and Holidays timetables will enter in place.

Porto Pedestrian areas are suspended till the end of 2020

Porto City Hall decided to suspend, temporarily, the project regarding the city’s pedestrian areas, due to the mandatory curfew issued by the Government, which is in place on weekends as of 1pm.The municipal decision is in place until December ends and it was taken under the current constraints owing to the pandemic, to help prevent the spread of the new coronavirus in the community.

STCP adjusts the offer of services on weekends due to the slump in demand

STCP bus fleet in Porto will adjust the offer of services on weekends and holidays, starting at 1pm, following the slump in demand of circa 70%. This weekend, the STCP bus fleet implements timetable changes, by reducing 10% the offer of bus services, starting after 1pm on Saturdays, Sundays and holidays.

Cycle track between Campo Alegre and Asprela concluded on 2nd November

The bicycle path between the university poles of Campo Alegre and Asprela concluded on 2nd November, with the implementation of the cycle track between Rua de Teodoro de Sousa Maldonado and Rua do Dr. António Bernardino de Almeida. Also, on 2nd November, the Rua de Monsanto street (close by the Jardim da Arca D'Água), which is included in the cycle track, alters its traffic flow.

STCP reminds passengers that there are obstacles to the travel between municipalities

STCP (Porto Bus Company of Porto) reminds passengers that there are circulation restrictions between districts, from today, 30th October (since midnight) and 6am on 3rd November. Thus, passengers should travel, as urged by the company, only according to the situations covered by the Law.
