The work by German artist Caspar Walter Rauh and the Fantastic Realism Engraving Exhibition is on display at the Palacete dos Viscondes de Balsemão, 26 October starting at 6 pm. The exhibit approaches the dimension of this artistic movement which had as a great personality the German graphic designer, illustrator, and painter Caspar Walter Rauh (1912/1983), following the Second World War.

"Turandot", by Giacomo Puccini, is featured in Coliseu Porto bringing back opera to the city of Porto Saturday, 21 October, starting at 8 pm. "There is opera in the Coliseu!" became the bywords of the city of Porto under the agreement signed between Coliseu Porto and the São Carlos National Theatre. This joint partnership will enable Coliseu Porto to stage incredible world-class opera shows.

The School of Music Guilhermina Suggia promotes, 21 October, a concert to honour cellist from Porto, Guilhermina Suggia (1885/1950), that will take place in Palacete dos Viscondes de Balsemão (Carlos Alberto Square), at 6 pm, with free entrance.

Honoured German Organist and Maestro Franz Hauk will interpret Bach, Mozart, Helmschrott and Vierne at the commemorative concert of the 32nd anniversary of Porto Cathedral Organ which takes place 19 October at 9.30 pm.

"Resistência conjugal" (Marital resistance) is the title of this choreographic installation, with public presentation in the Edifício Transparente, over the weekend. This event will be held 14 and 15 October at 4 pm. This project was developed under the artist-in-residency programme "In Residence" from Porto City Hall.

Manipula#som is a visual concert, inspired in a circus-arts approach, for all ages, featured at Café-Teatro of Campo Alegre, 14 October, at 3 pm and 5 pm, under the FIMP - International Puppet Festival of Porto.

More than 40 invited guests, from around the world, take part in the Forum of the Future, between 5 and 11 November, in Porto, to launch a reflection process on the stability of our planet. This year's edition, themed "Electrical Earth" brings to town some of the most outstanding names in sciences, philosophy or arts, who will participate in conferences, with free entrance in various spaces in the city of Porto.

Loie Fuller, the inventor of "Serpentine dance" is the theme of "Literary Café", hosted by Rivoli Café, 12 October, starting at 6.30 pm. Entrance free. The autobiography "Fifteen Years of a Dancers' life: With Some Account of Her Distinguished Friends" by Loie Fuller depicts the amazing life story of this American dancer who later moved to Paris where she achieved international appreciation.

Rivoli opens doors, once more, to raise awareness against racism and indifference by screening a film festival - MICAR - devoted to combating racism and xenophobia, from 13 to 15 October.

The critical thinking assembly, Metabolic Rifts is the first funded project by the municipal programme "Criatório" and it will begin 14 October, in Serralves. The purpose of this project is to foster critical thinking and to sustain transversal practices and discourses in visual and performing arts. The starting point will be at Serralves Auditorium, at 2.30 pm.
