Pláka Collectives programme- "To School out of School" is back next week with the last session of the "To School Out of School" programme, from 14 to 19 January, at Palacete dos Viscondes de Balsemão and the Palácio dos Correios.

Porto Municipal Theatre hosts a concert to celebrate peace, on 5 January at Rivoli. On stage, the Academia de Música of Costa Cabral, ACE - Escola de Artes, Balleteatro, Bando dos Gambozinos, ESMAE - Escola Superior de Música e Artes do Espetáculo and the Orquestra Juvenil de Bonjóia will celebrate the important value of peace.

The Clérigos architectural complex, comprising the Tower, Museum and Church, has reached a record number of visitors. Around one million and three hundred people, visitors and holyday makers, stopped at this venue in the city of Porto, which has led to record-breaking visits to Clérigos.

Daniel Cunha performs at the Palácio da Bolsa and presents the "Solitude" CD with pieces by romantic composer Alfredo Napoleão (1852-1917), which had never been recorded. The "A-Bomb Exhibition, Hiroshima and Nagasaki", which was inaugurated on 2 October, and on display at the main foyer of Porto City Hall, concludes today. 73 years after the Nagasaki and Hiroshima atomic bombings, during World War II, the Japanese people want to spread a message of peace and urge nations to curb the proliferation of nuclear weapons.

The Porto/Post/Doc Festival brings the world in film, once again, featuring fiction that represents reality from Russian nationalism and Peruvian ethnography to Transsexuality in Brazil and prostitution in Japan. The festival kicked-off on 24 November and concludes on 2 December.

"Holodomor" or Famine: Ukraine 1932-1933 - the Genocide of the Ukrainian People" is the title of the exhibition on display at the Palacete dos Viscondes de Balsemão, located at Carlos Alberto Square, till 15 December. Entrance free.

Porto hosts the Porta-Jazz Festival from 1 to 9 December, all over town, offering 30 concerts that will bring new narratives in Jazz through premieres and unique artistic partnerships. There will be school meetings, workshops and jam sessions to promote exchanges and networking between Jazz musicians.

"S. Bento Porto Station and the work by Jorge Colaço" is the exhibit on show in the main lobby of this centennial railway station in Porto, which can be visited till 3 December.
