FITEI and DDD are back together in 2020

Porto Municipal Theatre (TMP) joined the DDD + FITEI 2019 for a programming on dance and theatre, of over two dozen performances, workshops, meetings, associated activities and after-show parties. See you next year for another joint programming.

Agustina Bessa-Luís passed away on 3 June 2019, in Porto. The acclaimed Portuguese writer and one of the greatest figures in Portuguese literature became famous with her novel "The Sybil", published in 1954, which won her the Delfim Guimarães and Eça de Queiroz prizes.

A groundbreaking exhibition on Picasso

"Pablo Picasso. Suite Vollard" by Pablo Picasso is a unique exhibition that opens today at Palácio das Artes, in Porto. The Suite was acquired by the Spanish Foundation MAPFRE in 2008, and was never before exhibited in Portugal. The exhibit will be on show until 11 September.

The Faculty of Fine Arts in Porto opens the exhibit on the inventories by Biel today

The FBAUP opens the exhibit on the image, the technique, and the inventories by Emílio Biel at the Exhibition pavilion, today at 6pm. Entrance is free. This initiative is organised by the Ci.clo Biennial of Porto Photography. The exhibition will be on show from 30 May till 20 July 2019.

James Bay takes to the stage at The Hard Club

James Bay, the multi-platinum artist, three times nominated for a Grammy and winner of a BRIT Award, will perform on 31 May, in Porto. The English singer will take to the stage at the Hard Club in a concert that marks his debut as solo performer in the Invicta and the presentation of his second solo album "Electric Light".

The Serralves Foundation will host the "Serralves em Festa", the largest event of contemporary culture in Portugal and one of the biggest in Europe. The 16th edition of this initiative will happen between 31 May and 2 June, and the main goal is to celebrate Serralves as an inclusive venue regarding contemporary art and culture, fostering thought and practices on landscape and environment.
