Vivian Caccuri, Christina Sharpe and Lafawndah are today's keynote speakers at the Forum of the Future.
At 5pm, Vivian Caccuri, the Brazilian artist that uses sound as the vehicle to cross experiments in sensory perception with issues related to history and social conditioning, delivers the performance "A Mão da Febre", on the issue of yellow fever in sugar plantations.

At 7pm, the writer Christina Sharpe presents "In the Wake: On Blackness and Being". The session is chaired by sociologist Cristina Roldão, and the talk revolves around artistic, visual and daily representations of "being black" and on "climate".

Both sessions take place at Rivoli.

Later this evening, singer Lafawndah goes on stage at Casa da Música. Lafawndah is most known for her ritualistic dance, influenced by the music of artists such as Nina Simone, Grace Jones, Missy Elliott or Kate Bush.

Also, Lafawndah presents her first album in Porto, "Ancestor Boy", accompanied on stage by harpist Angélica Salvi, at 10pm.

The Forum of the Future concludes on 9th November, with sessions journeying through Rivoli, Casa da Música, Serralves and Cinema Trindade.

All sessions are entrance free, upon production of the corresponding ticket, up to the limit of two tickets per person.
