Unpublished work by the first Portuguese Pritzker Prize, Álvaro Siza, will be on display in the city of Porto, starting 17th October. Two exhibitions will mark the opening of the Foundation Marques da Silva (FIMS): "Siza - Inédito e Desconhecido" and "Mais que Arquitetura" are the telling exhibits that open doors to the Casa-Atelier and the Palace Lopes Martins. Entrance is free on the day of the opening, and the exhibitions can be visited between 2pm and 6pm.

As of tomorrow, 17th October, the public can appreciate the architectural and urban heritage at a regular level, for the coming months.

The restored Casa-Atelier José Marques da Silva, implemented in partnership with the Faculty of Architecture of the University of Porto (FAUP), displays "Siza - Inédito e Desconhecido" features a set of unpublished work by Siza in Portugal. These are drawings that belong to the Siza's personal archive and that enable to evaluate the stroke of art in architecture in three family generations. The never seen work also includes sketches of projects, architectonic imaginations, and portraits of Álvaro Siza and his wife, Maria Antónia Siza.

In addition, this is the perfect opportunity to appreciate up close drawings by one of Siza's sons and one grandson, who is about to graduate at the Faculty of Architecture of the University of Porto (FAUP).

The exhibition "Siza - Inédito e Desconhecido", which is curated by António Choupina, has been on show at the Tchoban Foundation, in Berlin.

"Siza - Inédito e Desconhecido" will be on show till 19th December 2020. The exhibit "Mais que Arquitetura" extends till 17th April 2021.

Both exhibitions can be visited from Monday to Saturday, between 2pm and 6pm. Ticket price is 3 euros for the general public and 1.5 euros for youth, students and seniors. Entrance is free on 17th October.
