The Wine Essence is the place to taste wine in Porto

Wine lovers, get your palates ready for the best wine line up at the 17th edition of the Wine Essence event, which kicked off on 20th February at the Stock Exchange Palace in Porto.

This event runs until 23rd February and it gathers about 4000 wines from 400 producers from the entire country, as well as the essential "Top 10 Portuguese Wines" tasting that will be assessed by experts from different nationalities, which includes, this year, Ferreirinha Callabriga/Douro, Casa da Passarella/Dão, Covela/Vinhos Verdes, Herdade das Servas /Alentejo, Quinta do Monte Xisto (Douro) and Quinta Vale D. Maria/Douro. 

According to the organisation, this wine event will be the occasion "to bring together wine experts and importers from several countries and also to encourage new business opportunities, fostering Portuguese wine prestige in foreign markets".

The wine trade fair will be attended by Wine experts from countries such as the United States, Russia, Poland, Brazil, South Korea, Spain, England, France and Denmark are expected to attend the wine trade fair "Essência do Vinho".

The daily entry is 20 euros, if bought online and it includes the offer of the tasting glass; if tickets are purchased in situ, the cost is 25 euros.
