The Football pitch of Porto City Park has been enlarged

The football pitch of Porto City park has been expanded and rehabilitated and now offers better conditions as a training field for local sports clubs, as well as hosting official competitions.

The new field dimensions are now of 100m x 62m, as this was the main goal of such intervention, which enabled the approval by the Porto Football Association for the hosting of official competitions.

Locker rooms had to be set up in a nearby support building so that the football pitch could be enlarged, also perimeter fencing was applied as well as an automatic irrigation system.

Porto City Hall announced that, currently, the works to accommodate locker rooms for players and referees, access from changing rooms to the pitch, a medical facility room, storage of sporting goods and a secretariat area are ongoing.

The investment contract is worth 135 thousand euros.
