ScaleUp Porto. call for entries open to innovation and entrepreneurship communities

Porto city Hall challenges innovation and entrepreneurship communities to start the enrolment process of ScaleUp Porto., aimed at supporting Entrepreneurship, Innovation and Technology.

The goal of this call for tenders is to revitalise the local ecosystem with new actions in the course of the year.

The overall amount devoted to the selected proposals is seventy thousand euros.

The municipality thus supports the growth of new projects to boost the local entrepreneurship ecosystem. The entry period opens today and runs till 4 March 2018.

A true ecosystem only exists when everyone collaborates to meet a specific mission and this is the spirit that guides ScaleUp Porto. At its core, the current call for tenders is meant at "boosting the impact of the actions taken by Entrepreneurship, Innovation and Technology communities in the city of Porto".

Within these strands, national or foreign organisations headquartered or branched out in Porto or in Porto district are invited to make proposals for activities.

Once the application period for the presentation of projects is closed, a jury will decide based on the impact the proposals will have on the city's business network.
Porto City Hall is to offer 70.000 euros, to be shared among the several projects selected. 

Each project - which has to take place till the end of 2018 - can be granted a maximum of 10.000 euros, with the purpose of stimulating the project start phase.
