PortoCartoon World Festival warm-up showcases 100 caricatures of Bob Dylan

The exhibition that marks the introductory presentation of PortoCartoon World Festival presents 100 cartoons of Bob Dylan's physiognomy. The charismatic singer, composer, and Nobel Laureate of Literature is the main figure of the special Caricature Prize 2019, which runs till 9 June at the Municipal Theatre of Matosinhos Constantino Nery.

This event is jointly organised by the National Press Museum and the City Hall of Matosinhos, and displays the best work that were up for the award of special Caricature Prize 2019, whose theme was the renowned artist and creator of hits such as "Blowin' in the Wind", "The Times They Are a-Changin'", "Like a Rolling Stone", "Just Like a Woman", "Mr. Tambourine Man" or "Subterranean Homesick Blues".

The winner work of the PortoCartoon special Caricature Prize 2019, by Brazilian artist Luiz Carlos Fernandes, will be on display at the exhibition.

In addition, cartoons by the Australian David Rowe and the Portuguese António Santos, ex-aequo second winners, as well as the work by the Spanish Omar Figueroa Turcios will add to the show.

This event is entrance free, and visiting hours are from Monday to Sunday, from 10am till 1pm, and from 2pm till 6pm.
