Velocidi, a customer data software company with Portuguese technology and leadership, has been elected the best Customer Data Platform by Digiday Technology Awards.

The company, founded by Paulo Cunha, is headquartered in New York City and has offices in Porto, Portugal.

The Digiday Technology Awards recognize the best technology modernizing media and marketing and they have highlighted Velocidi as the best customer data platform and machine learning solutions for direct-to-consumer (DTC) brands, particularly by their work with Barkyn, a direct-to-consumer (DTC) pet food brand, and the case study "How Barkyn doubled revenue from retargeting with Velocidi".

Paulo Cunha has over 10 years' experience in building products for the online advertising industry. After working as a technology consultant in London, Paulo returned to Portugal and established ShiftForward, a first-party state-of-the-art marketing technology company. Following fruitful rounds of investment, Paulo grew a product that was validated by clients worldwide and built a remarkable team, who are now part of Velocidi's team.

"We were already thrilled with the fact that we had been nominated in August, but to bring the award with us in this category, and especially this being a prestigious competition, it is great for Velocidi", declares Paulo Cunha, Velocidi's CEO.

Digiday Technology winners are selected based on creativity, innovation, consumer values and KPIs direct impact.

It is worth mentioning that Velocidi was also a finalist for the "Best Personalization & A/B Testing Platform" award and that the company is nominated for "Best AI Use" in the scope of Digiday Awards Europe, whose winners will be announced on 4th December.
