Don't miss the Porto Municipal Gallery contemporary art exhibitions "De Outros Espaços", curated by João Silvério and Pedro Gadanho, as well as "Desertado. Algo que aconteceu pode acontecer novamente", by artist Maria Trabulo, curated by Pieternel Vermoortel.

"De Outros Espaços" art show is included in the series "Perspetivas", and features artwork based on topics issued by the EDP Art Collection. This project is developed in the scope of the Porto Municipal Gallery and the EDP Foundation partnership.

The aim is to explore the notions of space as imagined by 43 visual artists and their line of work art wise, including installations, painting and sculpture and overlapping these means of expression with topics such as the notions of identity, gender, social alienation and discrimination both in contemporary urban settings and complex historic memoirs.

Also, the exhibition "Desertado. Algo que aconteceu pode acontecer novamente" is the result of the investigative work pursued by artist Maria Trabulo in the Middle East on how the participation in public spaces can render a revolution possible. This project was jointly developed with Pieternel Vermoortel, artistic director of Netwerk, Aalst, and the director of the curatorship programme FormContent.

Both exhibitions are entrance free and open to the public from Tuesdays to Saturday, between 10am and 6pm, and on Sundays, between 2pm and 4pm, till 18 August.
