International Day for Monuments and Sites is celebrated on 18 April, and highlights diversity of heritage throughout the world.
In 2019, the theme is "Heritage & Rural Landscape". This day offers the opportunity to discover Porto's cultural heritage.

Local and foreign communities and individuals are invited to consider the importance of cultural heritage to their lives, identities and communities, by grasping the sense of place and identity within the city of Porto.

The City of Porto has prepared a series of commemorative events, starting at 2.30pm, the invitation to a guided tour through the "Pelos Caminhos do Romântico", and departure from Casa Tait (Rua de Entre-Quintas, 219). The maximum number of participants is 30.

Take a chance to visit the Gothic Wall in the riverside front of Ribeirinha area, a structural element of urban development, and move on to Casa do Infante.

Rediscover the paths to the parish of Sé and Foz Velha (Old Foz) and to finish on a high note, a round table on Heritage and Landscape at Casa Tait.

All museums are entrance free this day.
