Porto Book Fair extends application deadline till 5th June and adapts exhibition spaces payment conditions

Application registry for participating in this year's Porto Book Fair was extended till 5th June. Exhibition spaces term of payment have also been altered. 

This literary event will be back in the Invicta between 28th August and 13th September, with new sanitary conditions under the DGS guidelines, due to the new coronavirus pandemic.

The new application deadline is 5th June and payment is phased; thus, 20% of this value has to be performed until 24th July and the remainder till 13th September. Should Porto Book Fair be postponed, the rights of all participants are safeguarded.

All other conditions provide for at the Terms and Conditions of Porto Book Fair document remain unaltered.

Documents regarding registration, Terms and Conditions and Registration Form, can be consulted at the Municipality's website.

Applications can be sent to email feiradolivro@cm-porto.pt or to the following address: Biblioteca Municipal Almeida Garrett, Rua de Entrequintas, 328, 4015-239 Porto.

All applications will be given feedback till 16th June, as stated by the Municipality. In addition, applications must meet Porto Book Fair' goals for this year's edition, namely to disseminate books and reading, to foster cultural habits, to promote contact between writers and readers and to promote a large book and reading party, where books are the main players.

Porto Book Fair will open from Monday to Friday, at 12 o'clock, and on Saturdays and Sundays, at 11 o'clock. From Sunday to Thursday, doors close at 9.30pm, and on Fridays and Saturdays doors close at 11pm.

The main goal of this literary event in Porto is to promote books, cultural and recreational initiatives to suit all tastes. Participation in the fair is open to publishers, booksellers, distributors, used bookstores, national and international entities.

Each visitor must comply with the preventive measures in place, issued by the DGS.
