Starting this 8th July, the Porto Porta-Jazz event brings Jazz back in town! Outdoor concerts that need prior reservation. Concerts begin at 7pm. Get your tickets now! The kick off concert will be delivered by the collective Damian Cabaud, with the project "Aparición".

Following a shutdown period due to the current pandemic, the 10 year-old event Porta-Jazz event resumes its weekly concert agenda, now in an outdoor format, complying with all safety measures issued by health authorities.

The new stage was christened "Quintal Porta-Jazz", something like "Porta-Jazz backyard", and from 8th July till 9th August, the Association will take to the stage eight concerts with Portuguese and foreign artists, namely Demian Cabaud, with the project "Aparición"; trio by guitarist Nuno Trocado, double bass Sérgio Tavares and drummer Rodrigo Constanzo; the Esmae Jazz Ensemble; and Eurico Costa Trio, featuring guitar player from Porto Eurico Costa, Demian Cabaud on the double bass and Marcos Cavaleiro on the drums.

On 15th July, the Porta-Jazz event brings two concerts to Porto, of the Festival Robalo second edition, starting at 9pm, featuring projects Kiri and Samuel Blaser/Marc Ducret.

The two first Sundays of August, the "backyard" stage welcomes an extension of the Jazz festival 2020. This is a joint initiative by the Calouste Gulbenkian Foundation, the Porta-Jazz Association and the Jazz ao Centro Clube; this is a shared event by the cities of Lisbon, Coimbra and Porto, which delivers at the Invicta, on 2nd August, at 7pm, the quartet by saxophonist Ricardo Toscano, pianist Rodrigo Pinheiro, cellist Miguel Mira and Gabriel Ferrandini on the drums.

On 9th August, it is time to appreciate the André Rosinha Trio.

Porta-Jazz Festival is a key part of the cultural scene in the city of Porto, and it is also an important reference for jazz in Portugal.
