The right combination of policies and investments can set the stage for thriving industries, that is why Porto is a competitive city and drives growth
. Natixis inaugurated its Technological and Information Skills Centre in Porto, in 2018 and now has increased its services portfolio, in the areas of Law, Business Administration, Finance or Economics, by recruiting 130 new collaborators.

Natixis, the second-largest banking group in France, inaugurated its Technological and Information Skills Centre in Porto, in 2018. The decision to establish the city of Porto as the Centre of Excellence for Natixis was based on the talented and highly skilled people that Porto has to offer as well as on the environment of innovation and entrepreneurship that spurs in that northern region.

The company started operating in 2018, and hired over 300 people; the goal to reach "600 employees by the end of 2019" is now surpassed with Natixis significantly increasing its services portfolio, in the areas of Law, Business Administration, Finance or Economics and recruiting 130 new collaborators.

This information was released by Natixis Director to Portugal, Nathalie Risacher, who stated to "Dinheiro Vivo" that the main priorities are enhancing finances and banking activities, and that all the work developed in Porto, so far targeted at the technological area, should start to prioritise innovation.

The fact that Natixis combines agility and flexibility and has investment capacity leads Nathalie Risacher to great optimism regarding this operation, and also in taking on an active role in the current banking scenario.

"We want Porto to implement those solutions", affirmed Nathalie Risacher to "Dinheiro Vivo".

It is worth highlighting that Natixis and several other companies relocated to Porto as the result of the he investment attraction office created by Rui Moreira, InvestPorto; this municipal support office to the city's economic development is linked with projects that have created more than 11 thousand jobs.

These figures show that Porto is indeed "the city that works" - and this is the signature of the Municipal Office that now takes a new guise, providing new services to cope with the emerging challenges of both the global and the local economy.
