The next municipal programme "Ambiente em Família" ["Families connect to the Environment", free translation] is aimed at taking family and friends on a visit to the natural surroundings at Quinta da Bonjóia, on 22nd February, from 2.30pm to 5.30pm, to observe exotic flora.

This time round, the municipal programme "Ambiente em Família" will take participants in a journey through introduced species or bio invaders, which are considered a greater threat to native biodiversity than pollution, harvest, or even disease combined.

However, these exotic species also play a biodiversity function and can be successfully controlled. Learn more about this at Quinta da Bonjóia, at 2.30pm.

This session, guided by botanist and biologist Paulo Alves, is aimed at audiences aged 16 years or over. Number of participants. Participants will be informed of meeting point once they are registered.

Flora is all the plant life present in a particular region or time, generally the naturally occurring (indigenous) native plants. Get the most fun and enjoyment taking part in this activity.
