Mayra Andrade, the Cabo Verdean singer, who was born in Cuba and grew up in-between Africa and Europe, takes to the stage at Coliseu Porto Ageas, on 18th April 2020, at 9.30pm. The complete singer will present her latest album "Manga".

The "Manga" world tour is presented in Porto and in Lisbon (also in April), after Mayra performed in London, Paris and Berlin, and following a full agenda of several festivals in Portugal and in the rest of Europe, namely the prestigious North Sea Jazz Festival, in Rotterdam, Holland.

This new album, "Manga" (the album takes the name after the artist's favourite fruit, the mango) was released in February 2019 and it blends afrobeat, European sonorities and Cabo Verdean traditional tunes. Mayra is often compared to Cesária Évora, and has been praised for her modern interpretation of the traditional Cabo Verdean Morna music.

As global and contemporary as ever, Mayra keeps tuned to her origins and sings in Portuguese and in Cabo Verdean Creole. The "Manga" album was recorded in Paris and in Abidjan.

This is the fifth album by the Cabo Verdean artist, after the release of the "Lovely Difficult" album, released in 2013.

Tickets are already on sale in the usual places.
