Iberia, the national Spanish airliner, will gradually resume its short- and medium-haul flights, starting 1st July and Porto Airport is one of the first chosen destinations. The recovery plan includes Francisco Sá Carneiro Airport and passengers will have flexibility changes regarding flights.

Porto Airport is a prime choice of the Spanish national airline immediately in July, when it resumes its international operations, alongside other destinations as Athens, Brussels, Dubrovnik, Geneva, Lisbon, London, Milan, Munich, Paris, Rome, Stockholm, Venice and Zurich, besides Dakar, in Senegal, in the African continent.

The airliner also states that it is ready to resume long hauls flights, "as long as conditions allow it and travel and quarantine restrictions are eased in the countries to where Iberia operates flights to".
