Take a walk on the historic side of Porto! While the shutdown is in place, you need to #StayHome and adapt to new ways of "going outside".

Adapting and functioning, that is a great help to ease troubled minds, and bodies for that matter!

Visiting the most iconic buildings of Porto is one those virtual walks" as Porto Municipal Archive made the Cartas Históricas Interativas do Porto, that is to say, the Interactive Historical Charts of Porto, available online.

Thus, everyone can explore the historic charts of the city, in a 360º virtual walk that will safely let you in the such places as Sé Cathedral of Porto, Lello Bookstore, Clérigos Church and Tower, Palácio da Bolsa (Stock Exchange Palace), Casa da Música, Church of Carmo, Church and Museum of Misericórdia, Church of São Lourenço, Church of Santa Clara and Church of S. Francisco.

The service is developed based on a Geographic System Information - SIG base and it enables a special interpretation of the territorial evolution, as well as a chronological timetable of historic documents of Porto.

The project is continually updating and it makes the city mapping available for study and observation as far as 1892, authored by Augusto Gerardo Teles, in a 1/500 scale. This is deemed to be the first cartographic mapping of the city of Porto and it displays buildings, gardens, rural areas, creaks, and other features.
