Celebrate Xmas circus at Coliseu Porto Ageas

Circus returns to Coliseu Porto Ageas for a run of shows from 13 December 2019 to 1 January 2020. Check all the performances and dive into the magic of circus in this special holiday as the best talents from around the globe will be at Coliseu Porto Ageas, from gymnastics trapeze, to balancing acts or breath-taking acrobatics and mind blowing juggling.

Expect to be amazed by world circus artists from countries such as Russia, Canada, Tajikistan, Finland, Ukraine and Portugal, just to name a few.

The thrilling quartet Dynamic Four will perform the most unique act, with Combined Forces and Bankine, to provide the "the tallest tower in the world". Tis artists are from SALTO International Circus School and ACRO Clube da Maia, a gymnasium that trains European and world champions.

One of the biggest acts will be Laurence Tremblay-Vu, climbing to more than six meters high and hang upside down to dance over the abyss. The Canadian Vietnamese artist has performed at the Cirque du Soleil or even at the opening ceremony of the 2010 Winter Olympics. This year, Laurence has won the Gold Medal of the 40th Festival Mondial du Cirque de Demain.

From Finland, the fearless Wise Fools, with a rare threefold trapeze act.

Other groups on the programme are Mukhamadi Sharifzoda, from Tajikistan, with a strength and balance act and the recognition by the International Festival del Circ Elefant d'Or 2019. This will be a premiere in Portugal.

Young Kostiantyn Korostylenko will add to the fun of circus by combining classical ballet and juggling. This act was distinguished with the Alexandra Bouglione Prize at the 40th Festival Mondial du Cirque de Demain. 

From Braga, the absolute premiere, especially created for Coliseu, by the troupe Mala da Suévia Tisch, whose aim is to playfully prepare the show and keep all things going, they are the Staffimbancos.

The amusement would not be complete without Konstantin the clown, from Ukraine. Humour, playfulness and talent to share with the audience.
The Daring Guys will dare real leaps of faith in a Russian rod. 

The circus at Coliseu Porto Ageas debuts on 13th December, at 9pm for all types of audiences, and it runs till 1st January 2020.

Tickets cost between 8 and 18 euros, and children up to the age of 12 have 50% discount.
