Porto showed how to build an international presence at MIPIM

Porto City Hall participated for the first time with a Porto.Stand at MIPIM, the Marché International des Professionnels d'Immobilier, which took place in Cannes, France, from 12 to 15 March 2019.

The Palais des Festivals played host to 26,800 delegates, "1000 more than last year, and even more countries", as stated by the organisation.

This four-day event was literally packed with investors and stakeholders to highlight the most outstanding and accomplished projects, completed or yet to be built, all around the globe.

The city of Porto has participated at MIPIM and "this presence was key to draw hundreds of investors and stakeholders regarding the very best in real estate industry", mentioned Albert Castro, founder of MIPIM and Representative of the event for the Iberian Peninsula.

"We are very pleased with the presence of the city of Porto here at MIPIM and Mayor of Porto coming here is of the utmost importance as it shows there is political will. With Porto here, we have registered over 160 new Portuguese investors, not to mention investors from Spain, France and England", Albert Castro stated.

The Mayor of Porto was the invited guest of MIPIM's organisation to an Official Tour to some of the most relevant stands in Cannes, on 14 March. The Stands of Dubai, Holland, of the city of London and of Egypt, welcomed Rui Moreira.

The international market for real estate professionals, the MIPIM has commended the city of Porto in the context of the fDi - Intelligence Magazine, a key publication in the financial area, at a ceremony held in Cannes, on 12 March.

In the framework of MIPIM's theme event "Engaging the Future", so the city of Porto envisages its participation: "We will be here next year", Mayor Rui Moreira declared.
