Municipal Assembly proposal to temporary transfer sellers of the market of Bolhão accepted without any negative votes

The location of the Bolhão Temporary Market in La Vie Shopping Center, a few meters from the market that will be restored, was approved on Monday, November 21, in the Municipal Assembly, without any negative vote.

Underground works began last summer and the call for tenders will now be launched for renovation works in the building and to restore the most important fresh market in the city of Porto.

The renovation works to be carried out include costs of EUR 2,5 million and conclude decades of incapability from the municipality to move forward in order to solve the problem.

Sellers's rights will be protected and guaranteed so that they can return to the fresh market that will continue to be a public and traditional market in 2019.
